I can never seem to do this survey exactly a year later but I guess this is close enough. December 26th, 2005 to December 27, 2006... let's see how I've come along in this crazy year.

1. What did you do in 2006 that you'd never done before? I moved far, far, out of driving distance of my family.

2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year? I don't really dig the whole resolution thing.

3. Did anyone close to you give birth? Traci Rice Williams brought baby Harris into the world in April. He's amazing and I love him. Also, Sam Deeds didn't give birth, but he did become a father. :)

4. Did anyone close to you die? No, thank goodness

5. What countries did you visit? None, but I travelled in an airplane 8 times. That is definitely a personal record.

6. What would you like to have in 2007 that you lacked in 2006? Lots and lots of spare money. A full length professional cd. A tour. Lots of things. I've got big dreams.

7. What date from 2006 will remain etched upon your memory, and why? I LOVE DATES!! January 14th, the day I moved to Boston and met Gen. January 16th, the day I met Dan. March 26th, the day I blew out my voice for months. August 26th, my band's show at Washington Street Tavern with Hillside Manor. Sept 25, my first gig in Boston. November 20th.. :). And finally, last night, December 26th - an incredible show with my band at Red Light Cafe that reminded me, once again, why I play music. Love it.

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year? Last year I said it was my Berklee scholarship audition but I wasn't sure if I got a scholarship - well, I did. That was a pretty big accomplishment for me. Really my biggest achievements were everything Berklee related. This was a very Boston focused year.

9. What was your biggest failure? How little I have accomplished in my career. I've slowed down more than anything. I should have played more open mics, more gigs. I should have recorded a cd. I should be doing lots of things that I just didn't have the strength to do this year.

10. Did you suffer illness or injury? I lived a relatively healthy year, especially considering I moved across the country two times.

11. What was the best thing you bought?
my tuition to Berklee. Gosh I have a one track mind.

14. Where did most of your money go? TUITION. SO MUCH TUITION. My "official" move to Boston in September. Then the other stuff, food, rent, utilities. Other than that, probably... I really didn't spend money on much ot anything this year that wasn't a practical cause. I'm lame.

15. What did you get really, really, really excited about? An amazing boy. Boston. My beach trip with Brittany Pool & Co.

16. What song(s) will always remind you of 2006?

"Boston" - Augustana, and not just because it's named "Boston," I swear!!

17. Compared to this time last year, are you:

Happier or sadder? I'd say about the same. My life is drastically different though.
Thinner or fatter? the same I think....
Richer or poorer? Net worth? I'm so far in the negative due to my student loans, I will never be able to catch up. But checking account? About the same.

18. What do you wish you'd done more of? I mentioned all of it above, but playing gigs, writing songs, focusing on music. Also the same as last year - running.

19. What do you wish you'd done less of?
Dealing with bills, worrying about money. Sucks growing up.

20. How will you be spending Christmas? I spent Christmas with the family, as usual. It was raining and cozy.

22. Did you fall in love in 2006? No... but I had three mad crushes and so many great experiences.

23. How many one-night stands? Actually, this has been the most steady boy year in quite a while. I only kissed six of them, only three of them were new to this year, and I kissed one of them way more than the others. :)

24. What was your favorite TV program? CSI hands down. I'm an addict!

25. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year? Not even close

26. What was the best book you read? I didn't read a book. I didn't read much of anything. I looked at lots of musical notes.

27. What was your greatest musical discovery? Hillside Manor/Kyle Dickherber, Elizabeth and the Catapult, the Modern Skirts

28. What did you want and get? I am endlessly blessed to be in Boston at Berklee with amazing people who I love.

29. What did you want and not get? a recording of my band

30. What was your favorite film of this year? I loved loved loved The Departed and Little Miss Sunshine.

31. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you? I went to dinner in Boston with a few of my close friends and ordered a beer and pizza. Then we went upstairs to Dan's apartment and drank the night away. I was 21!

32. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying? writing more songs

33. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2006?
Really finally wearing whatever I want with no fear of judgement because I go to Berklee and everything is accepted because it's awesome like that.

34. Who or what kept you sane? my roommate Genevieve, Chris in Georgia. The frequent trips between two places I love, Boston and Georgia.

35. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most? Would I be weird if I put down a girl? Anna Nalick and Elizabeth Ziman of Elizabeth and the Catapult.

36. What political issue stirred you the most? the war

37. Who did you miss? When I was in Boston? Everyone in Georgia. Mostly my family, because they were the ones I was used to seeing all the time. In Georgia? Dan. So much.

38. Who was the best new person you met? my roommate Gen

39. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2006: It's so important to stay close to the people who are important to you

40. Quote a song lyric that sums up your year:

"you could be history next week if you don't act now...
(and later in the song....)
